March  

  • 11th -  Premiere of WKU-PBS documentary Mammoth Cave: A Place Called Home (showing March 15 Cave City Convention Center; March 17 Edmonson Co. Library).
  • 21st - Bird and Plant Walks, led by naturalist Steve Kistler. Every M, W, F at 8:15am (birds) and 11:15am (plants) Leaving from the Mammoth Cave Visitor Center, March 21 - May 13.
  • 26th -  Beegie Adair Concert and Dinner at Cave City Convention Center

 

April

  • 1st -  Army Band Quintet concert, Visitor Center 16-24  NPWeek, Wildflower Day, Jr. Ranger Day - fee free cave tour on weekends. Costumed walks and talks, evening programs.
  • 18th-20th - History/Research Symposium
  • 18th - Mammoth Cave: A Place Called Home showing at Cave City Convention Center
  • 30th - Eastern National book signing, Visitor Center

 

May

  • 14th - Pedal for the Park (Friends of Mammoth Cave)
  • 30th - Obscura Day (Atlas Obscura event)

June 

  • CAVEservation Day Camps (week-long 4th grade camps to build park stewards)
  • 3rd - Ricky Skaggs concert at Cave City Convention Center
  • 11th-12th - Music in the American Wild concerts (concerts in cave and on surface; recordings)

July

  • No Events - Visit our cave or trails!

 

August

  • 5th -  Na Skylark
  • 16th -  Centennial Jazz Band
  • 25th-28th -  100th anniversary of NPS - fee free cave tour on weekend
  • Costumed walks and talks, evening programs
  • 27th -   Bat Night

 

September

  • 16th - Naturalization ceremony
  • 24th -  Bike your park
  • 24th - National Public Lands Day - fee free cave tour
  • 00th - Bowling Green International Fest
  • 25th - Mammoth-on (Friends of Mammoth Cave)

  • 11th - Veterans Day - costumed walks and talks; cemetery walks
  • 11th-12th - Roots in the Cave genealogy event (Archibald Miller family)
