Mammoth Cave National Park Wildflower Update
Well, this unusually cool weather we have been having has delayed/affected spring wildflowers, although many species bloomed over the past sunny weekend. This week primarily white wildflowers are blooming at lower elevations like around Echo River Spring, and even in some higher sunny spots like the big sinkholes at Turnhole Bend Nature Trail. In particular, Trout Lilies and Hepatica are wide awake this week. Casual observations, threatened/endangered species not listed.
