“The Green River Ferry reopened to all vehicular traffic today, Tuesday, July 23. Ferry service had been temporarily suspended due to low water, but the recent rains have raised the water level enough for the service to resume. Mammoth Cave National Park’s planned closure of the Green River Ferry Crossing has been delayed until Monday, July 8. The three week delay will not change the end date, though, which remains Friday, November 15.Read More
The Green River Ferry and portions of Green River Ferry Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic from approximately Monday, June 17 to Friday, November 15. The area will remain open to paddlers and hikers, parking and public access will be limited. A temporary canoe and kayak ramp is being installed. In addition to the vehicle ramp extension, the park will launch an updated ferry boat. Full details in the Press Release.
