Encouraging healthy lifestyles through the fitness opportunities
and recreational choices available at Mammoth Cave National Park.

  • $? to put on a 5K or 10K fun run/walking event.  This type of event could be done on park trails around the headquarters area or along the Mammoth Cave Bike and Hike Trail.  With some planning and coordination, it might even be possible to have the route go past cave entrances, along the Green River, or near other park features of interest. The event would promote health and fitness in a national park setting.

  • $? to put on a 10-mile or 20-mile biking event.  This event would be along the 10-mile Mammoth Cave Bike and Hike Trail (between Bells Tavern in Park City and the Mammoth Cave Hotel).  The event would promote health and fitness in a national park setting along with interest in Park City.  In addition, the event would be a great partnership with Park City.

  • $10,000+ for a targeted TV and Radio Marketing effort that would specifically emphasize outdoor recreational opportunities in Mammoth Cave National Park.  TV and Radio spots would be targeted to Kentucky residents within 100 miles of Mammoth Cave National Park.  The spots would highlight recreational activities such as hiking, biking, horseback riding, and canoeing.
