A group of
concerned citizens and community leaders, working with the
National Park Service, started the organization in order to
preserve and protect Mammoth Cave National Park. At the same
time, the Friends Organization hopes to enhance visitors’
and family experiences for years to come.
The Friends
of Mammoth Cave National Park, Inc. is in the process of
registering for 501(c)3 nonprofit status with the IRS; until
that process is completed, your membership donation will be
accepted through the nonprofit Mammoth Cave RC&D so that
your gift will be tax-deductible. |

The Friends
Organization works to fund important projects and
initiatives, many of which are beyond the financial capacity
of the National Park Service. The Friends of Mammoth Cave
National Park receives no annual government funding; it
relies instead upon the generous support of private
citizens, foundations, and corporations to ensure that
Mammoth Cave’s gift of mystique and natural beauty will
continue to awe and create memories of a lifetime for future
generations to come. |

The Friends
Organization in conjunction with the help of the National
Park Service has compiled a list of projects and initiatives
that they would like to prioritize and seek funding for
their undertaking and completion.
